Ms. Sarah Louise Walker's Obituary
Sarah Louise Walker was born June 29, 1935, in Jasper County, MS to the late Joe Willie Walker and the late Mary Wall. She attended T. York public school in the Jasper county area.
She confessed Christ at an early age and kept him with her throughout her entire life.
Sarah moved to Meridian, MS as a young adult. She was baptized at New Era Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Reverend J.W.
Anderson. Sarah worked as a domestic worker for several doctors performing household tasks within their private residents which consisted of many roles/duties. Sarah was a good cook because she prepared her food with love. She was also a great homemaker.
She was employed in this field of work for many years.
Sarah visited local and surrounding churches because of her enjoyment of quartet singing. Sarah was a pillar in the community and surrounding area. One of her Christian duties was to visit the sick and shut-in at hospitals, nursing homes, and residents.
She helped and gave to so many during her service for the Lord.
Sarah was extremely loving and devoted to her Family.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories four daughters: Mary Walker (Racine, Wisconsin), Diane Lanier, Lilly Walker, Dorothy Walker all of Meridian, MS; one son, Sam Walker of Meridian, MS; six grand-children: Dewayne Walker (Honolulu, Hawaii), Wanda Walker (Racine, Wisconsin), Reginald Walker, Jerail Walker, Samuel Walker, all of Meridian, MS and Anthony Walker (Austin, TX); two brothers:
Henry Walker (Irene), Larry Walker (Rita) both of Newton, MS; eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Her "special children" include Mary Ann Leflore Jones, Rebecca Pickett, Nutty Butt, Robert Drummer, and Markeno Leflore.
She was proceeded into eternity by her brother, Robert Junior Walker, her sister, Mollie Snow, and her mother by marriage, Willie Mae Walker.
