Mrs. Sarah Woodard's Obituary
Sarah Woodard entered into eternal peace on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Queen City Nursing Home in Meridian, MS. God needed an angel that was loving, kind, and compassionate. Therefore, He sent a messenger from heaven to shower her with love and guide her quietly home. Sarah Woodard was born on April 9, 1923 to Katie and Marshall Holliday, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Earl Woodard; a son, Larry Woodard; and sisters, Earlene Goss, Pearl Holliday, Marsha Neil Holliday, and Rebecca Holliday; and a brother, Johnny B. Holliday. She confessed hope in Christ and joined St. John Baptist Church. As a member there, she was a faithful member of Brooks Young Sunday School class, the Golden Saints Ministry, the Mission Ministry, and a volunteer with vacation Bible School. She was employed as a cook at Meridian Community College for 16 years. Her memories will forever be cherished by two sons, Rodney (Dorothy) Woodards of Scooba, MS and Willie (Debbie) of Meridian, MS; a daughter, Cleopatra Woodard of Meridian, MS; one sister-in-law, Nobbie Holliday of Bay Springs, MS; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
