Mrs. Scnelda Dixon-Phillips' Obituary
Minister Scnelda Dixon-Phollips was born on February 24, 1945 to the late Ed and Jettie Dixon. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Jack Phillips; siblings, Mrs. Ceceile Baker, Mr. Jerome Dixon, Mr. Murray Dixon and Mr. Willie C. Dixon. Scnelda graduated from Marengo County High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and later became an ordained minister. Minister Scnelda was a dedicated wife and mother who adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as "Granny" as she was affectionately called. She enjoyed attending church, and spending time with her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her daughters; Carolyn Phillips, Sharon Phillips, Barbara (Keitric) Randle and Sherry Phillips; one son, Minister Danny Cameron, all of Meridan, Mississippi; five brothers, Elder Rome Dixon of Quitman, Mississippi, U. L. Dixon and Herman Dixon of Los Angeles, California, Wallie Dixon and Ed Dixon, Jr. of Quitman, Mississippi; Minister Scnelda (Granny) as her grands and special friends call her also leaves to cherish her memory, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, special friends; Pastor Jackson and Pastor Ratcliff; special God-sons, Mark and Matthew Lee, a host of relatives and friends who all will miss her dearly.
