Mr. Shelby "Busta" Simpson Jr.'s Obituary
Shelby Simpson Jr. of Meridian, MS passed away Saturday, September 12, 2105. He was born to the late Shelby Simpson Sr. and Mary Dockery on March 6, 1961. He was baptized at an early age and became a member of the First Union Baptist Church. He was truly a devoted family man who loved his children and grandchildren. His favorite saying was, “the truth will stand when a lie fades away.” Shelby was preceded in death by his father, Shelby Simpson Sr; mother, Mary Dockery; one brother, Walter Williams; one uncle, Bobby Joe Green; three aunts, Annie Mae Moore, Lucille Glenn and Annie Mae Williams of Meridian, MS. He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Shelby Young; two daughters, Dominique Jones and Ashley Young of Meridian, MS; one brother, Tony Dockery of Meridian, MS; two sisters, Carolyn (James) Jordan and Estella (Jerry) Blakey of Meridian, MS; one aunt, Mildred J. Tims of Meridian, MS and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
