Mrs. Sonja Latreese Hardy's Obituary
Sonja Latreese Cryer Hardy was born on March 24, 1976 in Meridian, MS to Barbara Cryer Brown and the late Fred Brown. Sonja was a graduate of Northeast High School Class of 1994. On April 21, 1995, she united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Frankie E. Hardy, Sr. Sonja was a member of East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a leader of the music ministry for several years. She had a passion for music, acting, reading books, and learning new things in life to share her knowledge and wisdom to everyone she met. Sonja never met a stranger. As a young adult, she became an entrepreneur and decided to open her own boutique called Sonja's Plus Apparel for Women's Clothing. She became a Real Estate agent and begin her employment with Centwy 21. On August 7, 2000 she joined the website for National Association of Realtors (NAR). On October 3, 2002, she became a Licensed Realtor Broker. Shortly after becoming a broker, she established her own real estate business called Doorway Realty. Her passion for books inspired her to become the Founder of Bella Diva Book Club. She was the author of two books, "How I Make $1,000 in My Spare Time and "How to Make Money in Real Estate Without Owning Any. " She was also a Notary Public for the State of Mississippi. Sonja not only had a passion for books, but she also had a passion for teqching which led her to become an educator. Her educational career began at Carver Middle School, followed by teaching 7th grade Science at Northeast Lauderdale Middle School. Her students loved her dearly. After obtaining her commercial drivers license, she became a bus driver for Lauderdale County School System. Sonja's education continued with a Bachelors Degree from Mississippi State University, and a Master's of Education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She also attended Theater Arts as an actress at. Meridian Community College. Sonja's passionate endeavors and love for others will be forever cherished by her husband of 26 years, Frankie E. Hardy, Sr.; daughter: Simone Latreese Hardy; sons: Frankie E. Hardy, Jr., Christian X Hardy, and Sean M Hardy; two grandchildren: Elonah M Henry and Laylah M Henry; two sisters: Tishara Granger and Deborah Brown Davis (Dione), and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, andfriends. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Brown, granddaughter, Elise LeAnn Henry, aunt, Gloria Mae Cryer Willis, and cousin Ashton Cryer.
