Mr. Stanley Lavert Smith's Obituary
Stanley Lavert Smith was born on July 11, 1957 to the late John Enoch “Tuck” Smith and Mary Elizabeth Graham Smith. Stan accepted Christ as a child during Vacation Bible School and continued to grow in the Lord. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Meridian Public Schools. He worked for many years as a CNA at the Reginald P. White division of East MS State Hospital. He loved people and sharing with them the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. Stan met and united in Holy Matrimony Janice Hare on September 12, 2008. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Mary Smith of Meridian, MS; 2 brothers, John of Meridian; and George (Georgia) of Waynesboro; 2 uncles; 5 aunts; 2 special aunts, Frances Hooks (Robert) of Bailey, MS; and Dorothy Hudson of Meridian, MS; and a host of other relatives and friends.
