Mrs. Sylvia Ingram's Obituary
SYLVIA DIAN INGRAM was the first child born to the late Gladys Ratcliff and Edsel Dunlap on July 17, 1959, in Meridian, Mississippi. Sylvia finished her race and returned to her Heavenly Father on July 30, 2023.
Sylvia was reared in the Meridian Public School District. She later continued her education at Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland with a discipline in Early Childhood Education.
She met and married Sol Ingram, Jr. in 1978. From this union six beautiful children were born, Tadaymeka, Rashad (Bruzee), Milan, Ramon, Shana, and Candie. Sylvia built a strong family foundation and was a devoted mother to all her children. Many memorable times were shared with extended family and friends.
In earlier years, Sylvia was a woman of many talents, able to master whatever her hands touched. She served 11 years at the Baltimore Sun News Paper. Later she was employed by United States Postal Service, serving 10 years. Sylvia had a warm admiration for children, so she later served as a Childcare Provider for Midtown Daycare Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Sylvia was also employed by the U.S. Department of Commerce Census Bureau and was awarded her retirement for services well done.
Sylvia enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She was a fashionista and enjoyed shopping, traveling the world, and enjoying all the luxuries of life... the best of everything.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sol Ingram, Jr.; her sister, Raycho Brown; and son, Rashad (Bruzee) Ingram.
Sylvia will live forever in the hearts of her beloved and devoted children, Tadaymeka, Rashad, Milan, Ramon, Shana, Candie Anderson, and son-in-law, Rashaad; brother, Damon Dunlap; nine grandchildren, lanian, Dehnom, Diego, Sydnee, Morgan, Haleigh, Kaidyn, Hendrix, and Tristian; two nieces, Dawnyae and Destiny; two nephews, Christian and Damien; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
