Mrs. Sylvia J. McDonald's Obituary
Sylvia Joyce Hardy McDonald was born on October 12, 1968 to Henry and the late Elsie Overstreet Hardy. She accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and united with St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she was the youth director for several years. She later became a member of Fountain of Life Church where she was a faithful member until her health declined Sylvia was a long time employee of the Child Development Center (NAS Meridian), where she worked with children which she truly enjoyed She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with loved ones. She was a very warm hearted, humble queen who would extend her arms to help anyone. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Hardy; grandmother, Joanna Clinton Hardy; grandfathers, Holly Overstreet and Richard Hardy; sister, Linda Hardy along with numerous aunts and uncles. She leaves to cherish her memories: three loving children, Timothy Hardy of Meridian, MS, Toneisha Hardy of Lauderdale, MS, and Erriona Phillips of Petal, MS; seven grandchildren; her father, Henry Hardy of Marion, MS; two brothers, Frankie (Sonja) Hardy and Randy (Anita) Hardy; two sisters, Shelia (Jerry) Hardy and Gloria (Justin) Scott; grandmother, Marie Overstreet Clark; ex-husband, Tim.· McDonald and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of whom will miss her dearly.
