Mrs. Teresa M. Hosley's Obituary
Ceresa Mae Hosley was born December 30, 1944, to Connie and Mary Ivy in Lauderdale County Mississippi. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.
Teresa was a women of faith and served in many capacities throughout her Christian journey with her home church, Good Hope AME, in Russell, MS. She later joined Cross
Roads Church under the leadership of Pastor Randy Young and Elder Sindy Young, where she remained a faithful member until she transitioned to be with the Lord.
Teresa received her early years of education from Stevenson Vocational School, and would go on to become certified in several areas. After leaving Mississippi, she established her family in Long Island, New York, where she purchased her very first home. Several years later, she relocated to San Diego, California. San Diego would be where her successful career in welding blossomed with National Steel; until she retired.
All of those who knew her, knew that not only was she a gifted caregiver to many family members throughout her life, but she was also a talented decorator and loved to make sure things were done with excellence.
Teresa was united in Holy Matrimony to Charlie L. Hosley in 1963 whom she shared over 35 years with, as a loving wife, until his passing. Together they raised 5 children and ran multiple businesses.
She was preceded in death by father Connie Ivy, mother Mary L. Ivy, husband Charlie L. Hosley, sisters Gusta Mae Ivy, Violet Rose Ivy, and Pearlene Dillard, brothers McElmore Ivy, James Ivy, Connie Ivy Jr., Jimmy Rae Ivy, and Walter Mack Ivy, and grandson David Johnson, Jr.
Teresa made her heavenly transition on Sunday, December 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
