Mr. Terry Wayne Hicks' Obituary
Mr. Terry Wayne Hicks was born October 2, 1972 in Lauderdale County, MS to Jackie (Dennis) Gates. He joined Center Ridge Baptist Church of Shubuta, MS at a very early age where he remained a member until his untimely death. Wayne attended Quitman High School where he was a graduate of the Class of 1991. During his lifetime, he had numerous occupations. Wayne was a dedicated son, devoted father, sincere brother, caring uncle, and loyal frined, He was a very loving person who never met a stranger. He gave his family and friends something much more precious than wealth. He gave his unconditional love and devotion freely and was always concerned for other. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Villa Hicks; father, Rev. Robert DuBose Sr.; sisters, Renee Hicks Morgan; aunts, Ruby Jean Hicks and Vera Carter; and cousins Dominique Hicks and Savanneo Lynch.
He departed this life on March 27, 2016 in Meridian, MS.
He was loved by many including: two sons: Rodrikuez and Dwayne; his wife, Peggy; a special friend, Rhonda; step-children: Marie, Sabrina, Codey (Trista) Lucas, Macey and Jamie Shreve; his parents: Dennis C and Jackie Gaters; sisters: Denise Nelson, Rita Duncan, Robin (Don) Watts, Regina Altman, Romona (Greg) Johnson, and Mamie Smith; brothers: Dennis Gates Jr., Robert Jr., David, and Charles (Ruby) DuBose; his aunts: Velma Strickland, Rosie Mary Bass, Minister Bennie Barnett, Johnnie Mae Hicks, Phillistine (Billy Ray) Bonner, and Burnett’s Wallace; his uncles: Robert, Charles (Jeraldine), Jimmy, Tommy, John, and Stacey Hicks; dear friends: randy Barnett, Richard McCree, Mario McCree, Marcus Reed, Carl Hicks, Timmy Kelley, and Alfred Hicks; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
