Mr. Theodore Thompson's Obituary
Mr. Theodore Thompson was born to the late William and Mary Jane Thompsonon March 18, 1931. He was the ninth child of 11 children. He confessed religion at an early age and joined the New Hope Baptist Church in Toomsuba, MS under the pastorate of Reverend Larkin.
Theodore was an active construction worker in Akron, OH and Sylacauga, AL until his retirement in 1999. He moved to Meridian, MS after his health failed him. He was then admitted to Willow Trace Nursing Home in Butler, AL. There he was well cared for by a wonderful and devoted staff. His caretakers were his loving nieces and nephew, Juanita Johnson, Chester Willis, Artie Williams, Mattie Willis, and Kendra Williams until his death. He departed his life at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridan, MS surrounded by family. Theodore is survived by a daughter, Minister Alice Terry; a son, two grandchildren, Siobhan Hill and Larry L. Strong, Jr; a life-long loving friend, Val Thompson, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. His mother, father, and siblings, George Thompson, Lucie O. Waters, Wilkins Thompson, Earnest Thompson, Ella Willis, Mary Lois (Bay) Hollinger, Jessie Pearl Larkin, Joe Thompson, Julius Thompson, Bill Thompson, and Sanders Jefferson preceded him in death.
