Mrs. Therresitta M Hollomon's Obituary
Theresitta Marie Robinson Hollomon, 63, was born in Meridian, Mississippi on February 19th, 1961 to the late Tommie Robinson Sr. and Thelma Todd Robinson. She was the nd oldest child and ist daughter of Tommie and Thelma.
Therresitta had a love and natural talent for gymnastics, singing, dancing, pagentry, poetry, writing, track & field, cheerleading, voluntering, church and spending time with family. She was baptized and attended St. Joseph Catholic school from Kindergarten to 2nd grade, St. Patrick School 3rd-6th grade and graduated from Meridian High School in June of 1979. After attending some college she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to create a new life. There she joined The Unites States Army which she served her country for 8 years. During this time she met her husband of 38 years, James H.
Hollomon Sr. Together they built a life of love, family and service.
In 1984, James and Therresitta started a family of s children and shortly after married in 1986 in Philadelphia, PA.
Theressitta continued her Catholic Faith and workship at Our Lady of Rosary, Philadelphia, and then later at Holy Family Catholic Church in Newark, Delaware. In Philadelphia they lived with family and eventually moved to Newark, Delaware in
1989. Theresitta began working at Mother Hubbard daycare, working with children of all ages. In 1989, she became a long time employee of MBNA bank for 12 years. While at MBNA she excelled as an Escheat Analyst earning many Star Excellence Awards and wining company talent shows with her gymnastics and dance expertise. She would volunteer her time with Special Needs Adults, through a program dedicated to giving them the opportunity to gain employment and life skills in and outside of work. Through work and life, she gained many life long friendships that still hold true through today.
Theresitta was a friend to all and would help when help was needed. She would cloth, feed and carry others when they couldn't carry their self. She was a mother to all and would take in family or friends during their time of need. Theresitta hads children that she birthed, but a handful of others that she cared for.
After retirement, Theresitta moved to Athens, Georgia in 2007, with her family in order to get closer to her mother and grandmother. In, 2012, Theresitta made the decision that there was no place like home and she relocated to Meridian, MS with her husband and 3 younger children. After moving to Meridian, Therresitta continued growing her collection of flowers, bushes and trees to create the garden of her dreams. She loved her flowers as much as her family and would post on social media for all to see. Every summer she hosted her many grandchildren with summertime fun and trips. Later she began caring for her mother, husband and herself. Therresitta fought many battles in her lifetime and won. She won her biggest battle on June 15th 2024 when she left this earth to be with Our Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her father-Tommie Robinson Sr., Grandfather- Carl L. Todd Sr, Grandmother- Irmertee (Muh) Todd-Roach, Grandmother- Wilie Mae Robinson, Great-Aunt- Lillian (Baby) Sulton, Great-Uncle - Abraham (Buddy) Jackson, Uncle- Carl L. Todd, Jr, Cousin-Thelma Grace Collins, brother- Baxter Lamont Robinson, sister-Tami V. Robinson Brown and stepmother-Mamie Robinson.
She leaves to cherish in her memory: Her Loving husband James H. Hollomon Sr. Their 5 children Innocent'e Hollomon, Octavia Hollomon Woods (Ernest Woods Sr), James Hollomon Jr, Vonyetta Hollomon and Serenity Hollomon. She was a loving grandmother to Kamron Kamwani, Aaliyah Woods, Ernest Woods jr, Adonyae Everett, Keeylan Brown, Aariyah Brown, Noah Hollomon, Josiah Hollomon, Maylani Vasquez, Eliano Vasquez, Zarielle Hollomon. Her mother Thelma Todd Robinson, Aunts Ida Bea Todd Tomlin, Hattie Lou Gordon, Cassie Mae Brown, Uncle Paul Todd, brothers Tommie Robinson jr (Emma), Tyrone Robinson (Alicia), Broderick Robinson (Carol), Terry Bennett, sisters Tiffany McKinley(Benjamin), Toniko Robinson, Brother in Law William (Bill) Hollomon. Nieces and Nephews Megan, Michael, Zsanita, Benji, Jennifer, Jessica, Timiya, Deangelo, Trenton, Alexander, Preston, Justin, Desiree, Renae, Lisa, Vance, Robert.
Numerous cousins, Aunts, Uncles and some close friends, Mrs. Stephanie Lynn Scott, Bridgett Marshall, Kathy White, Johnny Edwards, Elaine Shurn, Gail Anthony. And a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Therresitta's family will receive a Presidential Memorial Certificate signed by President Biden to honor the memory of her service as a discharged veteran.
