Mr. Thomas D. Williams' Obituary
Thomas D. Williams Sr. (Paw Paw) passed peacefully from this life the morning of December 7, 2014 at Regency Hospital in Meridian, MS. Mr. Williams was born November 22, 1928 in Bonifay, FL to the late J.B. and Annie Hodo Williams. In 1968, he decided to move to Meridian, MS and made it his home. He worked at the American Can Company as a Millwright for many years until he retired in 1991. Mr. Williams was converted at an early age and joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bonifay, FL. After his move to Meridian, he united with Pilgrim Progress Missionary Baptlst Church where he served as a choir member, Trustee, Sunday School teacher, member of the Brotherhood ministry and as a Deacon. He loved the Lord, his family and friends unconditionally. He was an outdoors man, he loved gardening and had a passion for fishing. He taught himself to play the piano and he played the guitar and sang as a backup singer and lead guitarist for the Mighty Clouds of Joy. Mr. Williams (Paw Paw) leaves to cherish his precious memories five sons (and spouses) Thomas D. Williams Jr. (Patricia) of Warsaw, NC; Willie J. Williams (Dorothy) Meridian, MS; Fredrick B. Williams (Vera) Greenville, MS; Bruce Williams (Olivia) Pensacola, FL; Christopher Kilpatrick (Tonia) Meridian, MS; stepchildren: Michael Kilpatrick, Jimmy Kilpatrick/Gregory Kilpatrick, Ricky Kilpatrick, and Liz King. He is also survived by his loving sister Everlee Talley of Lexington, KY, brother Cleveland Williams of Morchaven, FL, and special nieces: Brenda White; Helen Williams; Ida Mae King all of Bonifay, FL and Jean Hogan oj Lexington, KY. Mr. Williams was proud to be of five generations that expands from a host of grandchildren to great-great grandchildren.
