Ms. Tiffany Sharay Sims' Obituary
On August 14, 1975, God blessed Johnny Ray Sims, Sr. and Patricia Ann Sims with a beautiful daughter, Tiffany Sharay Sims, affectionately nicknamed “Tee” and “Tif”. She was born and raised in Meridian, MS. At an early age age accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA. On Friday, July 8, 2016, God called her home and she peacefully departed this life at Wellstar Hospital in Austell, GA.
Tiffany graduated from Clarkdale High School in the spring of 1993 where she excelled in mathematics & science and was involved in many different school clubs and participated in sports. After graduating she moved to Powder Springs, GA for a few years before returning to Meridian to pursue her goal of becoming a nurse. In the winter of 1997, she successfully completed the nursing program at Meridian Community College and in the spring of 1998, she received her nursing license. Tiffany worked as a nurse in various hospitals, clinics and nursing homes while residing in Meridian. She eventually relocated back to Powder Springs where she continued her work as a nurse. Her knowledge and expertise, as well as her compassion for others truly made her an exceptional, well-loved and respected nurse by all of her patients and colleagues. Tiffany enjoyed working with elderly patients, watching black & white classic TV shows no listening to Blues. She had a big heart and always helped others in need. There is not a day that will go by that she will not be missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her beautiful two daughters, Paris Sharay Sims and Brooklyn Alexia Sanders of Powder Springs, GA; her loving parents, Patricia A. Sims (Hank Philips) of Powder Springs, GA and Johnny R. Sims (Hollie Dolby) of Stonewall, MS; her grandmother, Fannie Mae Jennings of Meridian, MS; her only sister, Ashley Sims of Atlanta, GA; her three brothers: Chris Jennings of Columbus, GA, John Sims of Decatur, GA and Jeremy Sims of Powder Springs, GA. She will also be cherished and missed by her sister-in-law, Connie Jennings of Columbus, GA; her loving partner, Arthur Townsend of Powder Springs, GA; her cousins and “ace-boon coon”, Shelnetta Jennings of Meridian, M, long with 4 nephews and 2 nieces; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
