Mr. Timothy Wayne Nettles' Obituary
Timothy Wayne Nettles was born on May 2, 1962 to the late Mr. Clarence Lee Nettles and Mrs. Dorothy James Nettles. He was the oldest of two children born to this union. Educated in the Meridian Public School System, he graduated from Meridian High School. He attended one year of college at Meridian Community College, formally Meridian Junior College majoring in Business. During his high school years, Tim, as his friends called him, found a liking to art. He combined his love of art with his love of cars. He followed in his father's footsteps and obtained his first job at Nelson Hall Chevrolet and worked in the Parts Department. Tim always enjoyed learning new things. His desire to see new places and learn new things, led him to live in various cities in Alabama, Florida and Georgia. He found Christ at an early age and joined the Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was an active member of the Usher Board and Choir. He served as musician for the Adult Choir and Youth Choir for many years. Later, he served as musician for the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. He played for many churches in the area. Always drawn to the piano, you could always find him sharing his God given gift with others. He was a member of St. Peter Masonic Lodge #493B, Marion, MS. He always believed in supporting brotherhood. He united in holy matrimony to Loretta Willis Nettles. To this union one child was born. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Rev. Elijah James and Mrs. Corena Pitts James and his paternal grandparents: Mr. James Nettles and Mrs. Cynthia Nettles. He departed this life and went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 5:30pm at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted sister: Deborah Kay Nettles; a caring daughter: Mekesia Nettles Miller (Derrick); three loving granddaughters: Ariel, Shamya and Makayla Miller; one uncle: Bobby Brewster (Girdie) of Porterville, MS; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
