Mr. Tommie J. Reed III's Obituary
Tommie James Reed, III entered the world with a bang on October 11, 2001 in Meridian, MS. His parents, Lakeasher Brown and Tommie Reed, Jr., were elated by his arrival.
Tommie accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at Prince of Peace Christian Fellowship in Meridian, MS.
Tommie was educated in the Meridian Public School District. While in Junior High School, he played baseball, football, and basketball. In 2019, he graduated from Camp Shelby.
Tommie worked several lbs before finding what he called his “dream job” at Patterson UTI Drilling. He absolutely loved his job.
Trey, as he was affectionately known, deeply loved his family and cherished the moments he shared with them. A wonderful father of two, his children were his world. He was very dedicated and his heart’s delight was to see them grow. He had a special kind of love for everyone and a smile that would light up a room. He also loved playing video games and hunting.
On June 9, 2023, Tommie James Reed, III was called to eternal rest.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tommie James Reed, Sr., and great-grandparents, Leo Burrage and Ethel Mae Brown.
Tommie will forever be missed by his children: Treylan Akeem Kirkseyand Taylor Rose Reed; his loving and devoted mother, Lakeasher Brown; his father, Tommie Reed Jr. (Alexis); maternal grandmother, Cynthia Brown; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Reed; two brothers: Memphis Kentrell Creer and Legend Li’Juan Reed; five aunts: Shannon Brown, Keyara Brown, Brittany Hurst, Melissa Reed and Melinda Allen (Reginald); and five uncles: Randy Wallace, Michael Reed, Daniel Reed, Tony Reed and Jonathan Reed. He also leaves a host of cousins, other relatives and great friends.
We thank God for every precious moment that He saw favor to allow us to have such an amazing son, father, nephew, cousin and friend. We are also grateful and thankful to God for allowing such a wonderful Angel to dwell with us. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
