Ms. Vinnie Ann Wilson's Obituary
Vinnie Ann Wilson was born on May 3, 1947 in Daleville, Mississippi to Vinnie Wilson and Hilman Wilson, Sr. She was fortunate to have been raised by James Eugene Harvey and Rose Ann Boston Harvey who both preceded her in death. Vinnie accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church serving in whatever capacity needed until her passing. Vinnie was born and raised in Daleville, Mississippi and attended and graduated from Middleton Attendance Center in 1966. Her love and passion for education led her t9 pursuing an education degree at I Mississippi Valley State University. She graduated in 1971 earning a Bachelor of Science in History. She furthered her education and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching at Jackson State University 1976. Vinnie began her teaching career at Southeast Lauderdale Elementary School. She worked as an educator for 34 years. Vinnie's great drive for educating children drove her to be a lifelong advocate of children's development and education. She exhibited a true passion for it. She retired from teaching in 2004. There are many accomplishments credited to the name Vinnie Ann Wilson. To name a few: She received the Diploma of Christian Education from The Sunday School Publishing Board in 2020. She served as an education youth director for the First New Hope District Congress Christian Education Organization. She was also a lodge member of Mississippi Valley State University. She also worked as a . volunteer to teach classes for the East Mississippi State Congress. In Vinnie's leisure time, she loved to spend time talking with family and friends. She loved to go shopping and Dirt Cheap was often her home away from home. She also had a love of fishing and singing praises to the Lord in her home church.
