Mrs. Virginia Burell's Obituary
Virginia Lee Kirk (Burrell) was born on March 8, 1935 in Picayune, MS to Sylvester and Isabelle. She had grown to love and respect her step father Willie Kirk.. She accepted Christ at an early age unifying with Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Picayune, MS and baptized by the late Pastor E.L. Fox. She later became a member of East Galilee Missionary Church in 1983 under the leadership of the late Pastor David Bush. Virginia attended George Washington Carved High School in Picayune and cosmetology school in Chicago, Ill. Her determination led her to work full time as a factory employee during the day and part time as a beautician at night. She would later obtain employment at John C. Stennis Ammunition Division until retirement. She met and fell in love with life mate Mr. James Allen Burrell in 1983. They married in December 25, 1998. Mrs. Virginia Burrell leaves to cherish her most precious memories to her stepmother Charlotte Jones, her sisters: Betty Smith of Chicago, Ill, Massey Moore of St. Louis, MO, Marie Bettis and Tina Colston of Wilmer, AL; her brothers: Nathaniel Jones, Roosevelt Jones and Jimmy Jones of Wilmer, AL; her children: Eric Rivers (deceased), Olen Hargette, Sylvester Robertson, Darnell Richardson and Diana Richardson; as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, relatives and friends.
