Mrs. Wanda Jenkins' Obituary
Wanda Harris Jenkins was born August 30, 1952 in Laurel, MS to Earl and Ardella Harris. Wanda gave her life to Christ as a young child and joined East Jerusalem Baptist Church where she served as a faithful and dedicated member. Wanda received her formal education from Middleton School in Lauderdale County. she loved spending time with her children and family. Wanda loved working with her coworkers at Meridian Community College. They were a group who worked hard together as a family. She retired from MCC in May of 2017. Wanda Jenkins answered her Masters call on January 19, 2018 at Rush Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Willie Jenkins, Toomsuba, MS, who she joined in matrimony May 25, 1980; Their loving children, Cynthia (Demonthenesse) Graham, Lisman, AL, Cotina (Jeffrey) Landrum, Montgomery, AL, Patina Harris, Meridian, MS, Kammie (Billy) Harris, Cuba, AL, Derrick Jenkins, Kimberly (Rodriguez) Creer all of Toomsuba, MS; her siblings, Bessie Louise (Eddie) Mosley, Sammie Earl Harris, Calvin (Wilma) Harris, Joanna Tubbs, Sarah Harris, Joyce Ann Wallace; a special cousin, Rosie Lofton, Toomsuba, MS; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
