Ms. Wanda Denise Leggett's Obituary
Wanda Denise Leggett was born September 10, 1981, in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, to the union of Mrs. Annie Pearl and Mr. Obie Leggett, Sr. Wanda was a faithful Sunday school student at St. John Missionary Church from a very early age. She was educated in the· Meridian Public School District and was a member of the Meridian High School Class of 2001. Throughout her life, Wanda was known for her great love for her family and friends. She was a great mother figure to her nieces, nephews and especially her great-nieces and nephews. She was a devoted and dedicated Stay-at Home Mom to her wonderful son and daughter. Wanda departed this life for her eternal home on October 12, 2018 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson Mississippi. Wanda Denise was a beloved daughter, aunt, sister, and friend and her memory will be treasured Preceding her in death are her father, Obie Leggett, Sr., two brothers: Elijah Leggett and Obie Leggett, Jr. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories: Her mother, Mrs. Annie Pearl Leggett of Meridian; Her loving children, Rondarius and Roneisha Matthews, both of Meridian; One brother, James Howard Leggett; Three sisters: Matricia Leggett, Phanicia Lake, Paris Hopson, all of Meridian; Her "Ace Sister," Chasity Curry, Meridian; Three Special brother-in-laws: Tommy Lake, Tyrone Smith, Willie Bourdeaux, all of Meridian;. Her devoted fiancee ,who never left her side in her final days, Joe Rogers. She also leaves.her friend and father of her children, Ronald Matthews; six nieces, four nephews, eleven great-nieces, two great-nephews; Four aunts:Glenda Leggett, Annie F. Hopson, Zelia A. Baylor, Earlie M. lewis.
