Mr. Warren Lee Brookshire, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Warren Lee Brookshire, Sr. Was born on December 30, 1928 to the late Ester and Zenola Hudson Brookshire, in Noxubee County, in the state of Mississippi. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pine Grove Baptist Church. He attended Bailey Vocational School in Bailey, MS. He was employed with Mid State Paving Company for over 30 years. He was helpful and supportive to those he loved. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11:00 PM at the Community Living Center, Meridian, Mississippi. He united in Holy Matrimony to Cora Mae Roberts Brookshire, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by four brothers, Leslie Brookshire, Freddie Brookshire, Farris Brookshire and John L. Brookshire; one sister, Lillian Brookshire.
He leaves to cherish his memory four sons; Warren Brookshire, Jr. (Marsha), New Market, Alabama, Harry Brookshire (Shelia), Columbia, Maryland, Vernon Bailey (Ferrie), Chandler, Arizona, and Lamar Brookshire, Baltimore, Maryland, six daughters, Minnie Blaylock (Mel), Indianapolis, Indiana, Pennie Brookshire, Meridian, Mississippi, Jeanette Washington (Louis), Rockwell Texas, Beatrice Edmunson (Van), Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Ceatrice Kelly (Richard), Meridian, Mississippi, and Mary Logan (James), Brockton, Massachusetts; three sisters Lou Willie Gordon, Areathea Brookshire and Doris Jones (James), all of Bailey, Mississippi, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and a special brother-in-law, James Jones.
