Mr. William Earl Brookins' Obituary
William Earl Brookins, transitioned to spend eternity with our Heavenly Father on January 16, 2021. William Earl was the oldest child of the late Alvin Jennings Sr. and Dessie Ree Jennings. William Earl was born in Meridian, MS on June 28, 1960. He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Bertha Brookins and grandfather, Sherrod Brookins Sr.
William Earl attended Meridian High School. At an early age, he confessed his life to Christ and joined Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. William Earl loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was known for inviting his friends and neighbors to community cookouts and being master of the grill. He had a loving and caring heart for his Mom. He never missed a birthday, holiday, or any occasion to show his love for her.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: three sons: Mario E. Richardson of St. Louis, MO; Willie E. Starks of Meridian, MS; and Kendrick, Thomas of Meridian, MS; eight daughters: LeKasha Johnson (Ricky) of Champaign, IL; Franchetta D.E. Coleman of Atlanta, GA; Brandy Davis of Nashville, TN; Laquandra Lemon of Marietta, GA; Alexis Easley of Manchester, TN; Jessica E. Pritchett of Meridian, MS; C’Asia Lewis of Meridian, MS; Miracle Ruffin of Meridian, MS and 17 grandchildren
William Earl leaves to mourn: his loving mother, Dessie Ree Jennings of Brookhaven, MS; one sister, Lisa Dickey (Tim) of Brookhaven, MS; two brothers: Alvin Jennings, Jr. (Tammie) of Houston, TX and Billie Ray Jennings (Katsura) of Athens, GA. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
