Mr. William Larry Kennedy's Obituary
William Larry Kennedy was born on March 28, 1953, in Meridian, MS to the late Herbert & Lizzie Kennedy. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian, MS, and later joined Sunflower Missionary Baptist Church in Scooba, MS. He graduated from Meridian High School in Meridian, MS. Shortly after high school, he worked and retired from The Holiday Inn in Meridian, MS. He was a maintenance personnel at local apartment complexes, all while successfully stepping into the entrepreneurial world. Larry was most widely known for his "word of mouth business" New Brite Carpet Cleaning. He was a jack of all trades and an all-around handyman. He worked diligently in his business and was devoted to serving his clientele. He was a devoted family man andfather figure to many. The Lord called him home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Herbert & Lizzie Kennedy; three brothers, Willie James Sonny Kenneqy, Lamar Kennedy, and Herbert Kennedy Jr; one sister, Della Kennedy. He leaves to cherish his precious memories to: the love of his life of 40 years, Jackie Rencher of Marion, MS; (5) five daughters; Tangi Martin of Meridian, MS, Roshana Kennedy of Detroit, Michigan, Charita Kennedy of Meridian, MS, Trishonna (Allen) Naylor of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Tempestt (Kelvin) Bramlett of Dallas, TX; (2) two sons; Kendall Ivy of Meridian, MS, Dominic Kennedy of Detroit, Michigan, and a stepson, La 'Derrick Rencher of Meridian, MS. (7) seven sisters; Berthe/la Kennedy of Vineland, New Jersey, Bobby Anne King of Birmingham, Al, Debbie (Willie) Woodard of Meridian, MS, Diana (Eddie) Hinton of Meridian, MS, Doris (Percy) Howard of Meridian, MS, Angela Kennedy & Tommie of Meridian, MS, and Lisa Stephenson of Birmingham, AL. (4) four brothers; Tom Kennedy of Vineland, New Jersey, Sherman Kennedy of Meridian, MS, Hubert Kennedy of Nashville, Tennessee, and Robert Kennedy of Meridian, MS; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
