Mr. William Gregory (Bill) Miller's Obituary
Born the eighth son of Clayborn and Floretta Miller, Bill departed this life Saturday August 11, 2018. At an early age Bill united with 31st A venue Baptist Church under Reverend Witherspoon. He was active in Sunday School, BTU, Youth Choir and Junior Usher Board. Bill graduated from Meridian High School in 1974. Bill held several jobs in Meridian before moving to Leavenworth Kansas. While in Kansas he was employed by Lewis Management Company. After returning to Meridian, he was employed by St. Francis Housing Complex and Meridian Public School System. Bill (Goat) loved playing cards, bowling, fishing and telling tall tales. Whether good or bad Bill's tall tales, his laughter, and his neighborhood walks will truly be missed by all who knew him. Bill was preceded in death by two sisters Rebecca and Vickie, one brother Clayborn Jr. He Leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Mary Galvin, Alma Jean Taylor, and Clarice Pettis, Meridian, MS six brothers, Arthur, Albert, Robert (Phyllis), John, Charles, Meridian, MS and Kenneth, Ft. Myers FL. also his running buddy/cousin Tommy Slaughter and card partner Caroline Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We love you Uncle Bill (nieces and nephews.)
