Mr. William Rhoney Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. William Rhoney, Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as
"Boo", was born on March 11, 1955 to William Rhoney, Sr. and Ester Mae Rhoney in Meridian, Mississippi. Early in life, William joined Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church of Meridian, MS where he was an usher and sang in the choir. Later in life, he along with his family he became a members of West Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian, MS. He was a 1973 Graduate of Meridian Senior High School. William was a member of the Band where he played his beloved trombone in which he cherished until his death. William went on to become a graduate of Meridian Junior College on a band scholarship. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business.
William's career began at Delco Remy. He worked for Delco for twenty-eight years until his retirement in 2006. This allotted him time to do his hobby of fishing that he loved tremendously. William was loved by many, he never met a stranger, but most of all he loved his family.
William departed this earthly life to move to his Heavenly home on Thursday, May 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents.

William leaves to cherish memories his loving wife Vanessa Rhoney; his kindhearted son Christopher Rhoney of Atlanta, GA; stepson Marlon Campbell of Hickory, MS; six sisters: Barbara Knott of Meridian, MS; Viola (Bobby) Henderson of Meridian, MS, Michelle (Hermon) Evans of Prattville, AL, Bessie Rhoney of Meridian, MS, and Charlotte (James) Shoemaker of Jonesboro, GA; Sisters-in-loves: Sarah (Grady) Willis of Newton, MS and Faye (Johnny) Huddleston of Newton, MS; his sweet granddaughter Cailey Campbell of Meridian, MS; a host of nieces, nephews cousins, and friends whom will honor and cherish his life forever.
