Mr. Willie James Adams' Obituary
Willie James Adams, the second son born to the late Mr. Leroy Adams, Sr. and Mrs. Minnie Lee Kelly Adams. He was born August 11, 1950 in Meridian, MS. He united with the Oka.tibbee MB. Church at an early age. Later he united with Sunlight MB. Church, where he sang in the choir, he was an Usher, and served wherever he was needed in the church. Willie received his formal education with Meridian Public School System. He was employed with M & B. Railroad until he became disabled Willie and Carrie Edwards were married December 31, 1970. To this union three sons were born. Willie's earthly journey ended peacefully November 18, 2019. To cherish his memories, he leaves his wife Carrie, sons, Roderick Adams, Meridian, MS, Reginald 'Jay' Adams, Fountain Inn, SC, Joseph Adams, Greenville, SC. Grandchildren, Cameron Cox, Waterville, Maine, Sharnecia Adams, Tuscaloosa, AL, Tristain Mann, Greenville, SC and a host of others that was like grandchildren. Brother, Leroy Adams, Jr., Meridian, MS. Sisters, Shirley (Billy Joe) Hall, Cleveland, OH, Mary (Haskell) Hagood, Gracie Rackley, Greenville, SC, Florene Harbin, Oakland, CA, Lorene Proffit, Laura Adams, Rev. Dianne Adams (Rev. Marvin) Bonner, Sheila (Casper) Nichols, Easter Adams (his beloved baby brother, Alvin-Deceased), Mack (Elaine) Adams, Gloria (Willie-Deceased) Williams, all of Meridian, MS, Gwen Adams, Nashville, TN are Willie's extended brothers and sisters, four double kin neices, Erika, Amy (Michael), Jennifer (Frederick), and Deidra, and a host of neices, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy, Sr. and Minnie Adams, mother-in-law, Lora Edwards, and father-in-law, Clemmie Edwards, brother-in-laws, Cleo Stevenson, James Proffit, and Woodrow Harbin. Mary, Arthur Lee, and Bruce Adams.
