Mr. Willie Lee Alford's Obituary
Willie Lee Alford was born July 23, 1949, to the late George Lee, Sr. and the late Willie Ruth Barksdale Alford.
Willie Lee was a lifelong resident of Meridian, MS. He graduated from TJ Harris High School. Willie loved to repair anything, but his ultimate passion was repairing cars.
He was employed with the local logging company, Mayerhoff and worked with several other trucking companies as well. Where his handle was Silver Dollar.
At an early age, Willie Lee joined Oak Grove Church of God. He was very active in many ministries at Oak Grove until his health failed. His most recent ministries included Sunday School Teacher and singing in the Men’s Choir.
Willie Lee transitioned from time to eternity on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother George Lee Alford, Jr.
His memories will be cherished by his children: Tony Alford of Meridian, MS, Lisa (David) Alford Ruffin of Petal, MS, Pamela Alford-Jones of New Albany, IN, Rhonda (Larry) Collins of Meridian, MS, Rachel Williams of Stonewall, MS, and Ashley (Terrell) of Meridian, MS. Brother, John (Candace) Alford of Jackson, MS. Sister-in-law Gloria Woods Alford of Meridian, MS and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
