Mrs. Willie Mae Jordan passed away peacefully on November 4, 2014 in Jackson, Mississippi at the home of her daughter with her husband, Milton Jordan, Granddaughter Carla Cook and Daughter Janis Jordan by her side. Willie Mae Watkins was born July 27, 1934, in Newton, Mississippi, the.daughter of the late David (Achie) Watkins and Lois McCune. · She enjoyed fishing, gardening, quilting, crocheting, sewing and playing her guitar. Willie Mae attended Pilate High School. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Newton, Mississippi. Willie Mae is survived by her husband Milton Jordan; sons, David Jordan, Joseph Jordan,Wayne Jordan, and Bryan Jordan all of Newton, Mississippi. Daughters: Mildred Jordan of Dallas, Texas, Mary Jordan of Newton, Mississippi and Janis Jordan of Jackson, Mississippi. Brothers: (Kay) Shabazz, John Walker, Perry Watkins of Michigan, Bobby Jones of Tennessee, and Willie (Doc) Viverette of Louisiana, Sister: Shirley Watkins of Michigan and Glenda McDonald Darby of Bay Springs, Mississippi. Special Granddaughters: Carla Cook, Erika Jordan, Ashley Jordan, LaTashia Jordan, Zykerria Shaniya Curry, 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and two nephews, and a number of other relatives and close friends.
