Mr. Willie Edward King's Obituary
Willie was born January 14, 1954 to Dorothy Lee King and William Hall in Clarke County, Mississippi. He was a dedicated member of the New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Enterprise, MS, where he joined at an early age. He served the church as a deacon for over 30 years and trustee early on. He was known to serve wherever needed, including the kitchen and lawn care. He was an employee of Burlington Industries, where he worked as a machine technician for over 28 years. He was also a retiree of Wayne Farms where he worked for almost 15 years until his health failed. He was known as a humble, quiet, man, dedicated to his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Willie departed this life for his eternal home on May 6, 2020 surrounded by his family after a long battle with chronic lymphocytic anemia and other chronic illnesses.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Dorothy Lee Bradley; grandmother, Alma King; father, William Hall; stepfather, Will Leroy Bradley; brothers, James Curtis King and Kenneth Leroy Bradley.
He leaves to mourn his passing: wife of 44 years, Mary Ann (Gray) King; a son, John B. King of Enterprise, MS; daughter, Ciara King of Ridgeland, MS; four grandchildren: Avery Jackson, Caitlin “Gabbie” Jackson, Corbin Jackson, and Kaya Jackson of Ridgeland, MS; his brothers: Larry King of Enterprise, MS; Ernest (Shirley) Bradley of Ridgeland, MS; his sisters: Mary (JC) Lawson of Victorville, CA; and Sabina Bradley of Racine, WI; brother-in-law, Samuel Gray of Enterprise, Ms; and sister-in-law, Dylan’s Harris of Enterprise, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
