Ms. Willie Lang's Obituary
Willie Gene "Doll" Lang was born as the fourth child of six to Willie and Ruby Horne Lang on April 26, 1936 in Carmichael, MS. She was affectionately called Doll by her father. She transitioned from this life on Friday, July 3, 2020 around 9:40 pm.
Willie came to know Christ at a very early age. She grew up attending a Methodist Church, but later joined Ebenezer Baptist Church in Meridian, MS, when they left Clarke County. While there, she participated in the Women’s Ministry and helped with Vacation Bible School on occasions.
Willie retired from Super Stop in Meridian, MS. While working there, she became supervisor.
Willie had elven children and out of this eleven, she has nine living children. She has eighteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grands, and one great, great grandchild. Doll was called Moma Doll by all Grands and loved by all who came to know her.
Her mother, Ruby Horne Lang, her brother, Mae C. Lang, her sister, Baby Girl Lang, her son, baby boy Lang, and her daughter, Pamela Lang all preceded her in death. Willie leaves to cherish her memories her nine children, Tommy Joe (Roslyn) Lang, Johnny Lee (Ruby, deceased) Lang, Eloise L. (Ronald) Hearns, Ronnie (Lisa, deceased) Washington, Jeannette (Larry, deceased) McCoy, Cynthia Delois (Joe, Jr., deceased) Chisolm, Teresa (James) Venters, Hollye G. Lang and Betty J Alford. Eighteen Grands, Andre D. Lang, Romero L. Hofler, Jr., Carla L. Jenkins, Nicole M Johnson, Rodney A. McCoy, Michael L. McCoy, Andrew M McCoy, Tommy D. Lang, Rolando J Lang, Christopher R. McMillian, Ottavia S. Lang, Yolanda F. Simmons, Olivia S. Lang, Miles J Washington, Jeremy J McMillian, Micah L. McMillian, Ja 'Mes W Alford, and Jaden I. Lang. She also leaves behind two sisters, Maxine "Sue" Lewis of Inlrster, Ml, Betty Jean "Rosie Lee" Lang of Quitman, MS and one brother, A. C. Lang of Meridian, MS. Two special first cousins, Thomas Tee" Coleman and Eddie Mae Adams of Meridian, MS. Also, a host of other relatives and friends.
