Mr. Willie Earl McClelland's Obituary
Mr. Willie Earl McClelland was born September 7, 1957 to the parents of Mr. Roosevelt McClelland Sr. and Mrs. Minnie Mae "Sue" McClelland in Meridian, Mississippi. On the morning of December 17, 2020 Willie graciously departed earth and gained his official wings. In his early years Willie attended public schools in Lauderdale, County. He then served in the United States Army for 15 years and received several awards and accommodations before he retired. After discharge Willie began his second career at Fed Ex where he retired after 10 years. On April 10, 1982 he married his best friend and "road dog", the only love of his life, Linda M. McClelland. They shared 29 years of unconditional happiness as they raised their two children. Willie was a great son, caring husband, dedicated father, loving grandfather, and a beloved brother who would bend over backwards to help others. Willie was a kind hearted man who fed the homeless and donated to multiple charities. Any person who ever met Willie instantly fell in love with his charisma and charm. He was always the life of the party. His favorite pass times were fishing and grilling. Willie was truly a genuine person. He leaves to cherish his memories: Two children, Lionel McClelland (Adrian) of Powder Springs, GA; Misty Stedman (Dwalyn) of Stone Mountain, GA. One sister, Ms. Betty Hall of Meridian, MS. Two brothers, Mr. Roosevelt McClelland Jr. (Yolanda) of Richmond, VA; Mr. Glenn McClelland of Meridian, MS. One uncle, Lawrence McClelland of Moss Point, MS. Three aunts, Betty Howells of Meridian, MS; Bessie McClelland ofMeridian, MS; Ruby Yarborough of Meridian, MS. Two sister-in-laws, Ms. Alisa Farmer of Atlanta, GA; Mrs. Angela Williams (Omar) of Lithonia, GA. One brother-in-law, Charlie Jones Jr. of Atlanta, GA. Father-in-law, Charlie Jones Sr. of Milledgeville, GA. Three grandsons; Daniel, Joshua, and Zion. Willie will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
