Mr. Willie L. McCoy's Obituary
Mr. Willie Louis McCoy was born in Meridian, MS, August 25, 1925 to the late Pomp and Clara McCoy. In this marriage, two kids were born. Willie accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Meridian Public School and served in the US Army.
Willie returned to Meridian, MS where he met and married Johnnie Louise Williams. In this marriage, 10 kids were born. He worked in Meridian, MS at Sears, Roebuck Co and Miamia Window Co. Willie decided later to pack up how family and move to Detroit, MI in 1963 where he was blessed to get a job at Ford Tractor in Romeo, MI and retired in 1968. Willie was a very good husband, son and father. He loved to smile and talk plenty of noise. He would always say “I’m a good listener”. Willie will truly be missed by his loved ones. He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother, Pomp McCoy Jr. ; cousin, Edward Morgan Jr. ;one son Ernest (Rochelle, Clara (Albert), Lucy (Lewis), Estelle, Gloria, Delmonte, 33 Grands, 58 Great Grands, 11 Great-Great Grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
