Willie James Terrell, Sr., was born on December 2, 1943 to the late Grady Terrell Sr., and Quennie Terrell in Meridian, Willie grew up in Toomsuba, Mississippi but later relocated to Akron, Ohio in 1969 until he returned back to Toomsuba in 1997. Willie James was an independent owner and operator over the road truck driver for fifty-two years, before retiring in the summer of 1998. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, grilling and most of all his children and grandchildren. His family was very important to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Terrell Sr., and Quennie Terrell; son: Ronald Terrell; stepmother's: Lois Terrell and Adell Terrell; brother: Grady Terrell, Jr.; stepdaughter: Tangela Thompson and grandson, Demetrius Landrum. He leaves to forever cherish his memories, his wife: Hattie Terrell; sons: James Landrum, Aaron L. (Sebrina) Tillman III, Willie Terrell, Jr.; daughters: Deborah Lewis, Genine Terrell, Trashelle Jones and Ernestine Stallings; stepsons: Tom Thompson, Tiant Thompson and Robert Terrell Radcliff; sisters: Corrine (Gentry) Grogan, Holly Terrell, and Annie Olivia Wallace; brothers: Robert (Marilyn) Grogan and David Grogan; honorary daughter: Beverly Burton; sister-in-law: Rosie Terrell; special friends: William Walker and Charles Yarrell; a special niece: Latika Terrell; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
