Mr. Wilmer E. McDonald's Obituary
Mr. Wilmer E. (Mack) McDonald, 75, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018. He was born in Desoto, Mississippi on August 26, 1942, son of the late Wilmer and Annie (Cooley) McDonald. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Willie (Sonny) McDonald, Sr. As a young adult, Wilmer (Mack) McDonald joined the US Military and was an engineer in the Vietnam War. After leaving the military Wilmer (Mack) was employed at Burlington Industries and went on to work at Masonite where he retired in 2001. Mack enjoyed music and played the guitar. He was a musician for the Congregation Church of God in Quitman under the pastoral leadership of Bishop George and Mother Gertrude Roberts. He was a quiet and private man. Mack was dearly loved by his family. Wilmer is survived by his siblings: George McDonald of Racine, WI; Jeanette McDonald, Grady (Fay) McDonald and Katherine (Ronnie) Horne; and special aunt, Velma McCarty all in Mississippi; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
