Mrs. Yvonne Rowena Thomas' Obituary
Yvonne Rowena Thomas was born September 15, 1960 to the late Harry and Thelma Parker in Meridian, MS. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Louis Thomas. From this union Ophelia was born. She would later return to Meridian, MS. She was a very hard worker, as she pursued a career in retail and in the hotel business for over 20 years. She was a beloved coworker and was wellknown for her kindness and charitable spirit. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, shopping, and talking on the phone with loved ones. Yvonne was a very spiritual person who believed in the power of prayer and healing. On August 14, 2021 she was called home to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memories a beloved daughter: Ophelia Mayfield; a son-in-law who was more like a son: Jeremy Mayfield; two grandchildren who were her heart: Dallas & Donipher Mayfield; a special aunt: Audrey Burton; and a host of cousins, friends, neighbors, aunts, and uncles.
