Mr. Zy'errius Ezriel Zacharia Phillips' Obituary
ZY’ERRIUS EZRIEL ZACHARIA PHILLIPS came bursting into this world joyfully on May 28, 2006. His parents, Erriona Phillips and LePatrick Durr happily welcomed their baby boy.
The oldest of four children, Zy'Errius always provided nurturing guidance and advice to his siblings. He always wanted them to excel, and always pushed them to do and be their very best. He valued and loved his family immensely.
Zy, as he was affectionately known, was sophomore at Petal High School. He was a multi sport athlete playing football, baseball and basketball. He was very loving and outgoing. He loved hanging out with his friends and joking around. On September 25, 2022, at the tender age of 16, God dispatched his angels to usher Zy'Errius Ezriel Zacharia Phillips from labor to rest.
Zy'Errius leaves his loving mother, Erriona Phillips; fathers: LePatrick Durr and Tommy Dunn; sister: I'reonnia Phillips; brothers: Randarious Phillips and Messiah Dunn Phillips; maternal grandmother: Latoya Phillips; paternal grandmothers: Teresa Smith and Sharon Dunn; maternal grandfathers: James Green and Jeffrey Wright; and his god-parents: Cassandra and Lawrence Tyson. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Frances Roundtree; great grandfather, Ernest Hampton, Jr.; godmother, Sylvia McDonald; great aunt, Carol Green; and great uncle, Otis Green. Zy was loved by many, but God loved him more than we ever could. He will forever be remembered and cherished by those who were blessed enough to cross his path.
