Tonya,
I wanted to write and tell you again how sorry I am for your loss. As adults, the death of a sibling is known by as the "Forgotten Mourners." Grief that is sometimes overshadowed somewhat and unacknowledged by "society." However, the loss of your brother, Pookie represents true sibling bounded love. The brother and sister love of shared experiences, the forming of identities and personalities together along the way. In addition, Pookie's death represents the loss of a true big brother, friend, a little sister protector and confidant. Tonya, continue to hold on to the special memories such as: lunch at Corky Bells, dinner right up the street at your club house, him tagging alone to make his little sister happy passing out Halloween Candy and putting up Christmas decorations in October, your homecooked healthy meals that brought so much sit down home laughter, in the kitchen and his newly assigned position as your in house-Neighborhood Watch#2-Second Floor Level. These memories are simple, but so big to your heart. I hope you use these beautiful memories and more to soften your grief and forever put a smile on your face.
Much Love to You and Your Family,
Karen Careathers
