Mr. Bryan T. Greer's Obituary
Bryan Tyrone Greer was born on July 24, 1959 to Mary Evelyn Greer in Meridian, Mississippi. He was raised by his grandparents, Mary and John Arthur Lewis, who he affectionately called Momma and Daddy.
His early education began at St. Joseph Catholic School in Meridian. He later attended Northwest Junior High and Harris High School.
Bryan moved to Detroit and worked in the Health Care Field. For years, he has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Jude Convalescent Center and Camelot Convalescent Center, both in Livonia, Michigan and the Detroit Medical Center Convalescent Center in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
Bryan was baptized at an early age into the Catholic Faith at St. Joseph.
We take comfort in seeing his life transition into a man that prayed often, spent time listening to sermons, gospel music and living in peace.
Bryan was a caring, humorous, and loving man that enjoyed life to the fullest. For all those that knew Bryan, knew that he truly loved spending time with his family and friends. In his presence a good time and most definitely jokes were being told and laughter was sure to follow. He enjoyed vacationing and caring for his mother up to the very end in Florida. Bryan's past time was fishing. He was a aviv fisherman.
Some of his last conversations were around going fishing for the fish fry in June 2024.
Bryan leaves to cherish his memory: loving mother,
Mary Evelyn Greer; his children: Brandon Greer, Ashley Evans Rue (Lavarus), Sedrick Williams (Desirey), Breaunna Greer; Grandchildren, Alexandria, Pharrah, Jordan, Ky'Mani, Mahogany and Martrevious Greer, Mariah and Lavarus Rue, Jr., Castiel, Debora, Imerald, Malaysia Williams; great granddaughter, Ka'Oir; his sisters, LaRita Greer Davenport, Evelyn Greer Shamburger, Wiltrice Rogers, LaTonya Rogers and Carla Hubbard. Bryan had a special bond with his nieces and nephews; Sharron, Jeremy, Jerita Shamburger, Jasmine Davenport, Algernon and Christian Maddin and his youngest nephew Jerayll Pitts;
Special Cousins: Cynthia Kidd Colbert, Loukisha Kidd Lewis, Eric and Justin Colbert and Mia Brent Volpato; a host of cousins and Lifelong Friendships that he truly cherished.
