Mr. Malcolm Gilbert "Joe" Spinks' Obituary
Mr. Malcolm Gilbert Spinks was born on May 7, 1936, in Kemper county to the late Johnny and Beatrice Spinks. He attended school in Daleville, MS. He accepted Christ at an early age; He attended and joined New Hope Blackwater Baptist Church in DeKalb, MS.
On July 2, 1955, he married Lessie Mae Campbell. To this union, six lovely children were born.
Malcom Gilbert Spinks of Meridian, MS. Departed this earthly life and transitioned to his Heavenly Home on February 8, 2019, at University Hospital Augusta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife Lessie Mae Campbell-Spinks, his parents, (3) sisters; Gussie Clayton-Blakely, Geneva Spinks Hill, and Betty Pollard: (5) brothers: Hervey Spinks, Jessie Spinks, Tom Spinks, Scooter Spinks, and Howard Spinks.
He leaves to cherish his memories (1) son Joe L. Spinks (Tanya) Augusta, Georgia, (5) daughters Josephine Simon (Johnny), Genell Spinks, Sherryln Spinks, Sandra Spinks-Poole (Greg), Jeanette Spinks-Walker (Reggie) all of Jacksonville, Florida, (15) grandchildren, Tyson, Tonia, Ljuan, La’Shonda, Cederick, La’Shae, Davion, Brittney, David, Vance, Eric, Frances, Lession, Kayla, Diamond, (16) great-grandchildren, (1) great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
